Carroll Denton Voss, age 87, of Malvern passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at HSC Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1926, in Roundhill, Arkansas the son of Levi Denton and Winnie Pearl Fite Voss. Carroll was a retired teacher and coach from Ouachita High School from 1953 to 1970 and was Director of Operation at CADC from 1970 to 1995. He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 and Army from 1949-1952. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Harold "Bug" Voss; sister, Diane Harton and brother-in-law, John Harton. Survivors, wife, whom he married November 26, 1952, Laurice Burks Voss; sons, Roger Voss and Rusty Voss (Susan); daughter, Marsha Hankins (Paul); sister, Bonnie Baker (Lyndal "Lefty"); grandchildren, Dillon Voss, Denton Voss and McKenzie Hankins; sister-in-law, Julia Voss and aunt, Sue Adams and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10 from 5-7 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 11 at 10 a.m. at Regency Funeral Home with Brothers Hollis McDermott, Sonny Phelan, Buddy Lemons and Chuck Shryock officiating. Burial will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillon Voss, Denton Voss, Nick Overton, Blake Tolleson, Russell Harrod, Zack Voss, Robbie Hixon and Jeff Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ouachita High School Boys & Girls Basketball teams from 1953-1970 and his CADC family. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
