Guy Walter Bass went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb 5, 2013. He left behind his loving wife of 54 years, Janet (Richards) Bass; his daughter Gina of Norman, Okla.; his daughter Cindy and her husband Carlos Amaral of Plano, Texas; his son, Brian of Traskwood, Ark.; nine adoring grandchildren; brother, Michael (Mike) of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Jocelyn (Jocie) Liebig from Eagle River, Alaska, and sisters, Elizabeth (Liz) Bass and Sundae Fowler of Conway, Ark.; as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Murphy and Julia Margaret Bass, and his brother, Shannon Todd Bass. Guy was born March 5, 1938 in West Monroe, La., and spent his early years in Bauxite and Benton Ark. He could fix anything, especially computers, and worked 20 years for IBM, 18 years for Amdahl Corp, and five years for Storage Tek. Guy was proud to hold a degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister in 1979. He was a faithful servant of God who served as pastor, bi-vocational pastor, Sunday school teacher, and was a member of The Gideons International organization. We will miss him dearly - especially his sense of humor, his expertise, and his Godly strength.
