Rev. Thomas Carl Cypert Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 30, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of the late Thomas C. Cypert, Sr. and Julia Katilius Cypert. He was employed with Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years and had served in the United States Army. Rev. Cypert's walk with the Lord started at the age of 21 years. He pastored Pentecostal churches in Little Rock, Nashville, Tennessee, Visalia, California and Hope Pentecostal Church in Sheridan for over 38 years. Since retiring from pastoring, Rev. Cypert had been an Elder and Minister at New Life Fellowship in Sheridan. He also spent many years in the evangelistic work and ministered to many thousands of people. Bro. Tommy and his late wife of 60 years, Sis. Dorothy, dedicated their lives to serving God's people and telling the good news of Jesus. They are now spending eternity together in Heaven. Bro. Tommy's Homegoing was Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his daughter's home in Sheridan, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sister Dorothy Cypert, a sister, Frances Nell Knowles and a brother, Oscar Leo Cypert. Survivors: sons, Steve and wife Kelli Cypert of Sheridan; Jonathan and wife, Karen Cypert of Sheridan; daughters, Janet and husband Wesley Emerson of Sheridan; Beverly and husband Bill Baldridge of Searcy; Carla and husband Steve Hollis of Sheridan; Brothers, David and wife Debbie Cypert of Conway; Donald and wife Tracy Cypert of Ferndale; sisters, Erma Thompson of Little Rock; Julia Mae Pierce of Conway; Barbara and husband Bobby Beard of Sheridan; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at New Life Fellowship in Sheridan with his sons, Bro. Steve Cypert and Bro. Jonathan Cypert and son-in-law, Bro. Bill Baldridge officiating with music performed by his family. Visitation will be Friday, from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Lost Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Thomas Baldridge, Jesse Bailey, Daniel Emerson, Josh Drumm, Tom Cypert, Jason Winston, Samuel Cypert, and Karl Walton. Honorary pallbearers are Marvin Webb, Eugene Webb and Willis Fusilier. Memorials may be made to New Life Fellowship, c/o Steve Cypert, 4572 Hwy. 270 East, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
