Gaylord P. Carlton

Services for Gaylord P. Carlton of Malakoff will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Pastor Casey Perry and Minister Charles Kimble officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville, Texas. Gaylord was born on April 18, 1933 in Buckner, Ark. to parents Burnard and Maude Carlton and entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2013 at the age of 79. Gaylord enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved to fish, golf, go camping and enjoyed working with wood. He loved working in his garden and being a practical joker. Gaylord was in the Navy as a Petty Officer with foreign decoration, owned a successful business for thirty one years and was a member of the Cedar Creek Lakers RV Club. He was a member at the First Baptist Church in Malakoff. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife Earlene Carlton of Malakoff, Texas, daughters; Donna and husband Alvis Shavers of Scurry, Texas, DeDe Carlton Logan of Payne Springs, Texas, Diane and husband Maxie Coursey of Scurry, Texas, sister Ruby Nell Shellnut of Benton, Ark., eight grandchildren; Christina, Alyson, Alan, Chase, Casey, Jennifer, Ronnie and Kristyn, 13 great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many friends.
