Kitty Gail Shaw

Kitty Gail Shaw, age 76, died in her home February 19, 2013 after a brief struggle with cancer. Kitty was born September 6, 1936, the daughter of Leonard T. Scott and Bami C. Kirk. Kitty was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed church services with her church family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved auctions, yard sales and flea markets. Kitty was a member of Carlisle Pentecostal Church of God. Kitty married John W. Shaw on June 3, 1951. Kitty and John were married nearly 43 wonderful years until his death on January 8, 1994. Kitty is survived by her six children, Joyce Irwin; Phyllis Adams and husband Danial; Robert Shaw and wife, Emily all of Carlisle, Ark.; Johnny Shaw and wife Pam of Beebe, Ark.; Patricia Nelson of Menifee, Ark. and Rickey Shaw of Mountain Home, Ark.; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a number of relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weems Family Funeral Services in Carlisle. Funeral will be Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. at Weems Family Funeral Services Chapel in Carlisle followed by burial in Hebron Cemetery.
