Dolores Tolleson McRae "Dolo" died February 19, 2013, in Hot Springs Arkansas. She was born July 28, 1921, in Kirby, Arkansas to W.C. "Claude" Tolleson and Clara Thrash Tolleson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bin McRae, brother, W.C. Tolleson Jr. (Lucky), and one sister, Kitty Nunn Shultz. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Gayle McRae Burgess, Hot Springs, grandson, Todd Burgess (Angie), Hope, great-grandson, Bin McRae Burgess, Hope, sister, Jackie Jefferys, Las Cruces, New Mexico, nephews, Bruce McRae, Hope, Dorsey Glover (Elaine), Hot Springs, Dorsey McRae (Ruthie), Little Rock, Remmel Nunn (Kate), Groton, New York, Danny Jefferys (Susie), Houston, Texas, Gary Jefferys (Claudia), Deming, New Mexico,and Mike Tolleson (Janet) Hope, Ark. Mrs. McRae was retired from the ASCD Office in Hope. For many years, she and her husband owned Hope Iron and Metal Co. They were also the former owners of Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope which she helped manage. At the time of her death, Dolores had the distinction of being the oldest member of the First Presbyterian in Hope where she served as Elder, Sunday school teacher, and took an active part in women's ministry. A celebration of her life will be held at the First Presbyterian church on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Porterfield officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Following the service, visitation and a reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 760, Hope, Arkansas, 71801.
