JOE VURN DAVIE SR., 82, of College Station, Ark., departed this life July 3, 2013. He's preceded in death by his mother, Verler Bell Davie-Thomas; his father, Tom Joe Davie; one sister, Alma Faye; and two brothers, James Davie and Grover C. Thomas. He leaves to cherish the love of his life Eugenia Brown Davie of Jacksonville, Ark.; eight children, Joe (Angela) Davie Jr., Jacquelyn Brown, Stanley (Margaret) Davie, Vincent Davie Sr., Regina (Herman) Jackson, Terrance Davie, Mark Gray and Andre Williams; five brothers, Leon Davie, LeeVester Davie, Jorden (Eva) Davie, John Michael (Vickie) Thomas Sr. and Billy G. Thomas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. Home going services will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, NLR, Ark.
