Mary L. Jenkins

Mary L. Jenkins, 81 of Little Rock, died Saturday, July 6, 2013. Mary was born August 27, 1931 in Faulkner County, AR to the late Mark and Lorah (Holland) Rushing. She is also preceded in death by husband James Maxwell Jenkins, Sr., grandson Christopher Daniel Ray, three brothers and a sister. She is survived by daughter Kathryn Ray and husband Daniel of Bryant, sons James Maxwell Jenkins Jr. of Little Rock, Mark Jenkins and wife Barbara of Little Rock; siblings, Charles Rushing of Heber Springs and Kathy Chambers of Faulkner County; grandchildren, Dr. Natalie Ray Bishop and husband Dr. Michael Bishop of Memphis, Alyssa Jenkins of Little Rock, Emily Jenkins and Katie Jenkins of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Emerson Bishop, who was the light of her life; step-granddaughter, Christine Smit and step-great-grandson, Cobus Smit of New Orleans; and dear friends, Dorothy Woollard and Mary Carter of Little Rock. She was of the Baptist faith. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Arkansas Children's Hospital, or St. Jude's.
