DEBORAH LYNN KARWOSKI, age 63, of Maumelle, Ark., went to be with the Lord July 17, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Debbi was born in Maryville, Mo. to Lucille and Richard Watkins. She graduated with honors from Maryville High School and went on to Research Nursing School in Kansas City, Mo. where she served as president of the Student Nurses Association. She married the love of her life, Jeff Karwoski, on Aug. 8, 1970 and began her service as an officer in the United States Navy as a nurse in Millington, Tenn. During her nursing career spanning 43 years, she held numerous management positions, most recently as the Clinical Services Manager of the Family and Preventative Medicine Clinic at UAMS in Little Rock. She was a devoted wife and mother of two daughters that enjoyed spending time with family, reading and traveling to various places such as the beach. A woman with many honorable attributes, she was well known as a compassionate and kind person consistently putting others needs ahead of hers. Debbi is survived by her husband, Jeff, and two daughters, Melissa (Brett) Loudon of Benton, Ark. and Mindy (Dan) England of Bentonville, Ark. Four grandchildren: Mallory and Macey Loudon, Dawson and Connor England. In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Mike (Esther) Watkins and Pat (Kathy) Watkins and sister, Sherri (Darrin) Nichols. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark., (501) 224-8300. A Rosary Service will follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10 a.m., 1003 N. Tyler Road, Little Rock, Ark. Internment will follow in Riverwood Memorial Gardens.
