R. J. Hamilton, 16, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Friday, July 25, 2013, in Lake Ouachita. Born Aug. 5, 1996, in Tampa, Fla., he was a son of Rodney Eugene and Jamie Lynn Brittle Hamilton. R. J. was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, attending Maranatha Baptist Academy. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, the lake, and boating. R. J. had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He never met a stranger and loved being with his friends and family. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. R. J. was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his father, Rodney Eugene Hamilton of West Helena; grandparents, Wheeler and Sheila E. Cockrell of Pine Bluff, and James and Barbara Brittle of Tampa, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Ashley Hamilton of Waynesville, Mo.; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Cody Durreman of Waynesville; special uncle and aunt, David and Lucy Cockrell of White Hall; special cousins, Cody, David, and Ashley Cockrell, and Josh Newman of White Hall. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Flynn Cemetery near Humphrey, with Brother Brian Torres and Brother Mike Gazell officiating.
