Ila Pearl Brunson

Ila Pearl Robertson Brunson, 86, of Star City passed away at her home on November 21, 2013. Ila was born on December 9, 1926 to the late Claude Robertson and Flora Dodds. She was a graduate of Star City High School and was an avid basketball player. Ila had a passion for quilting, crocheting, gardening, square dancing and traveling. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxilliary. She was married to Lyndal Brunson for 65 years and was the mother of three children; a daughter, Debara Brunson of Little Rock and two sons; Gaylon Brunson of Little Rock and Dechard Brunson of Monroe, LA. She had three grandsons; Shawn Brunson, Jacob Brunson and Matthew Brunson; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and five brothers. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Sunday at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. J.C. Patterson officiating. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial at Mt. Home Cemetery.
