Sada Ray Butler

Mrs. Sada Ray Butler, 95, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in North Little Rock. She was born in Center Ridge, Arkansas on May 10, 1918. Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her parents (Benjamin David Ray Waters and Catherine Mae Bishop), her husband, (James Vernon Butler Sr.); a son-in-law, (Joe Peterson), and a granddaughter, (Debbie Butler). She is survived by one daughter, Verna Ray Peterson of Bryant; two sons, James Vernon Butler, Jr. (Sharon) of Maumelle; Paul David Butler (Terri) of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Becca Rutledge (Jim), Tammy Ballew (James), Sarah Lewis (Blake), Cathy Purvis (Jim), Kim Re (Tommy), seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchild, and her caregiver of the last five years, Ms. Linda Young. Mrs. Butler was always happiest when surrounded by her large family whom she loved to cook for and dote on. Her love and care will be missed by all in her family and those who knew her. The family will receive visitors at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock (791-7400) on Friday, November 29th from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 30th, Roller-Owens Chapel at 1 p.m. with interment immediately following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
