Pauline C. Watters

Pauline C. Watters went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was born July 21, 1928 in McRae, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Hershel and Tennie (Bomar) Carter and grew up in Rose Bud, Arkansas. In her early years she worked at Teletype and made many lifelong friends. She was known to many of us as "Grandma" or "Grandma Flower". She was a kind, loving, and outgoing woman. She awoke everyday to enjoy life. She loved her grandkids; they were the reason for her smile. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, and taking care of everyone she crossed paths with. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Watters; her sisters Bonnie Smith, Dorothy Gordon, and Kathleen Stein; and her brother Paul Howard Carter. She is survived by her only child, Sandra Caron Logan (David); her sisters, Helen Steelman and Christine Polley; and her brothers, Billy Carter and Kenneth Carter; also by her grandchildren, Tabitha Wood (Aric), Anetha Stinchfield (Josh), and Susan Ameling (Chris) and their children, Samantha, Patrick, Arica, Sara, Caleb, Trenton, A.J, Alek, Justin, Nicholas, and Kylie; as well as her great-great-granddaughter, Aleigha (Babykins). Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4th at Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Ameling, Caleb Ameling, Trenton Stinchfield, A.J. Allen, Alek Stinchfield, and Justin Wood.
