Geneva "Jean" Wilkie Davidson, 87, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Sunday, April 6th, 2014. She was born on November 29, 1927 in Sardis, Miss. to Walter T. and Doris R. Wilkie. The family moved to Caster, La. where she graduated from Caster High School in the 11th grade, which was common in Louisiana during this time. They then moved to Gurdon, Ark., where she also graduated from Gurdon High School after completing the 12th grade. In Gurdon, Jean met and married her husband of 56 years, Roland "Lefty" Davidson. They made their home in Gurdon until moving to North Little Rock in 1964. Jean was a long time employee of the Fashion Corner in North Little Rock and a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served many years as an elder. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle person. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, W.T. Wilkie, Jr. and sister, Naomi Wilkie. Jean is survived by her daughters, Ellen Culp and husband David and Nelda Strickland. She is also survived by brothers, Darryl and wife Helen, and Billy Wilkie; sisters-in-law, Brooksie Read Duncan and Bobbie Wilkie; grandchildren, Jason Culp and wife, Betsy, Cory Cup and wife Jennifer, Steven Culp, Matthew and Ellen Strickland; great-grandchildren, Walker and Maggie Culp and Tucker and Avery Culp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Arkansas, 204 Executive Court Suite Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 13 at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
