Emory "Pete" Houchen

Emory "Pete" Houchen, age 86, passed away on April 18, 2014. He was born on May 21, 1927 in Montserrat, Missouri to the late Harry Lewis and Mamie Jenkins Lewis. Pete was with International Shoe Company for several years, and retired from Smith Fiberglass, Little Rock, in 1993. He was past president and member of the "Hall of Fame" for the Central Arkansas Bowling Association, for the Arkansas State Bowling Association, and for the Southern Bowling Congress. He was an avid golfer and member of Maumelle Country Club. Pete was predeceased by his step-father John Houchen. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Darlene Burge Houchen; three children, Dianne Houchen, Mike Houchen, and Susan Waugh; two granddaughters, Alex Houchen and Megan Throckmorton, and one great grandson, Jake Throckmorton.
