Bobbie Jo Baker

BOBBIE JO BAKER, 84, of Little Rock, passed away April 25, 2014, at St. Vincent Infirmary. She was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Doc and Ruth McCain. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband of 60 years, James C. "Jim" Baker. Bobbie Jo graduated from Pine Bluff High School and attended Hendrix College. She was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League and an accomplished cook. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Lynn Baker; her son, J.C. Baker and wife Liz, all of Little Rock; grandchildren, Katie Baker of Shreveport, La. and Jake Baker of Little Rock; a sister, Clara Webb Douthitt of Denton, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church with Reverend Lynn W. Lindsey officiating.
