Thomas Mercer Britt Jr., 61, of Crosby, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was born Aug. 25, 1952 in Paragould, Ark. to Thomas Mercer Britt Sr. and Martha Hamilton Britt. Thomas was a unique man with a big heart who was willing to help those in need. He was always on the go, but he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Leigh Britt Henscey; his son, Richard Scott Britt; and granddaughter, Elisabeth Belle Clawson. He is survived by his wife, Hattie Tinsley Brittt; sons, Thomas M. Britt III and wife Amanda, Justin Bell and wife Jasmine; daughter, Marisa Clawson and husband Scott; brothers, Scott H. Britt and Jeff Holland and wife Realene; and sister, Dale Lee Britt. A visitation will be held for family and friends Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Sterling-White Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Crosby on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
