Lee Roy "Ben" Berry Jr., 78, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at a local hospital. Ben was born September 22, 1935 in Stuttgart, Ark., to the late Lee and Helen Berry. Ben was a member of College Church of Christ in Searcy for 44 years, and a past elder for 10 years. He was in sales with International Paper for 41 years and was also CEO and owner of World Travel, Inc. in Searcy. He played football for the Razorbacks from 1953-1956, where he was one of the "25 Little Pigs", coached by Bowden Wyatt. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia; his three children: Lee Ann Clay and husband Randy of Jonesboro, Scott Berry and Trish Price and her husband Randy all of Searcy; two grandchildren: Paige Price of Jonesboro and Marshal Price of Searcy. He is also survived by his twin brother: Charles Berry and his wife Jimmie of Tunica, Miss., a close brother-n-law, Woody Wilson and wife Linda of Searcy, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, August 29, beginning at 10 a.m. at College Church of Christ, 712 E. Race Ave., with a Celebration Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in his honor to: Camp Tahkodah, Harding University, Box 10844. Searcy, Ark. 72149, where he was baptized at the age of fourteen, and spent many summers as a child.
