Charles H. Armstrong Sr., "Mr. Armstrong", entered into eternal rest surrounded by family on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Mr. Armstrong, a longtime resident of College Station, was known for his caring and sharing for all those he met. He was an avid farmer known for his tender greens, sweet watermelon and huge sweet potatoes. He was a longtime member of Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Charles Armstrong, Sr. is a great soldier, who stayed his course and finished his race. We will always love him. He leaves to celebrate his homegoing: children, Charles (Evelyn) Armstrong Jr., Johnny (Kimberly) Armstrong, Sandra (Walter) Dickerson, Venetta A. Peaster and Dr. Brenda (Bishop Kenneth) Robinson; a village of grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Eurious (Majorie) Armstrong, Jonathan (Ethel) Armstrong, Julian (Juvita) Armstrong, Joe Thompson, Earnestine (Clifton) Washington, Barbara Braggs, Bettye (Frank) Oglesby, Ivy (Percy) Taylor, Linda A. Compton, and Sonya (Deon) Baker; host of family and friends.
Family hour: Friday, 5:30-7 p.m. Homegoing Service: Saturday, 2 p.m. both at Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church, Bishop Kenneth L. Robinson Sr., Pastor.
