Helen Turney McMindes

Helen Turney McMindes, 95, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Born in Bruno, Arkansas to George and Verna Pyle Cavaness, she was retired from Federal civil service and was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Don Turney and Willis McMindes, and son, Donald L. Turney, she is survived by her daughter, Carol Garner and husband, Jim of Little Rock; sisters, Eloise Williams of Harrison and Betty Liffiton of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, George Cavaness and wife, Ruby of Batesville; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held on Saturday, December 27 at 2 p.m. at Northside Church of Christ in Harrison, officiated by Mr. Steve Powers. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison.
