She shared her knowledge by teaching economics, insurance, office skills and physical education at then Little Rock University and later at the Opportunity Industrialization Council, where her classroom was a hangar at Adams Field. After a lengthy career with the Arkansas Insurance Department acting first as a policy analyst in the health and life areas and then leading the Seniors' Insurance Network, she took advantage of an early retirement. Jeanne believed in the fair and equal treatment of others and championed spiritual comfort and world peace. She spent her life dedicated to the goals of Women's Emergency Committee, the Panel of American Woman, forerunner to the Arkansas Public Policy Panel, the Stephen Ministry and Arkansas WAND. Jeanne loved a party and did not want to miss a thing. She withstood many tribulations, yet nevertheless preserved with an indomitable spirit to carry on and greet life's next new surprise. This she did admirably well into a very grail state. She did not go gentle into that good night. She raged, raged against the dying of the light. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, Tyler & I Streets, Little Rock, AR 72205, with Msgr. John F. O'Donnell as celebrant. Internment will follow in Holy Souls Columbarium. Her family is forever grateful to Arkansas Hospice and encourages memorials to them as well as to causes dear to Jeanne and those who knew her.
