Ann Reeves Eddy, 80 of Magnolia, AR died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Wentworth Place in Magnolia, Ark. Ann was born March 26, 1933 in Birmingham, Ala. and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a graduated of Magnolia High School where she was a majorette and cheerleader and attended the Stephens College for Women in Columbia, Mo. and Southern State College (SAU) in Magnolia, Ark. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Ann taught the first and second grades at Magnolia Public Schools and was a substitute teacher for many years. In her later years she was the secretary treasurer for Reeves Land and Timber Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Hal and Helen (Grayson) Reeves and her sister, Kathryn "Kitty" Reeves Jean. Ann is survived by her son, Tony Eddy and wife Betty; grandchildren, Cole and Caroline Eddy; nephews, Lane Jean and wife Judy and their children, Kelli Taylor and Gray Jean and wife Amanda, Hal Jean and wife Regina and their children, Cale Jean and wife Lyndi, Ty Jean and Amanda Bair, Seth Jean and wife Meagan; great great nephews Rhett Jean and Charlie Taylor; great-great-nieces, Farrah Jean and McKamie Jean all of Magnolia; numerous cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Lewis Chapel with Tony Eddy officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Pallbearers will be Lane Jean, Gray Jean, Hal Jean, Cale Jean, Ty Jean, and Seth Jean. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Weaver, Tommy Jameson, J.L. Jean, and Dale Wood. Ann was a benevolent giver and her greatest joy was giving memorial donations to her family and friends churches and organizations.
