Evelyn Halbrook Robertson

Evelyn Halbrook Robertson was born Feb. 14, 1934 in Zion, Ark. She departed this life Feb. 7, 2014 in Melbourne, Ark. at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 25 days. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was united in marriage to Harold Halbrook, of Melbourne, in 1950 and to this union two children were born. She was employed at Baxter Laboratories in Mountain Home, retiring after 20 years of employment. After the death of her husband, Harold Halbrook, she was united in marriage to Chester "Pete" Robertson of Hot Springs. She was of the Church of Christ faith and a longtime member of the Melbourne Church of Christ. She is survived by two children, Rick Halbrook and wife Rhonda of Melbourne and Cynthia Furlow and husband Brad of Cabot; one sister, Gay Rush of Hot Springs; five granddaughters, Dana McDaniel of Melbourne, Lisa Cooper (Jim) of Melbourne, Andrea Johnson (Monte) of Cabot, Lindsay Costa (Anthony) of Palatine, Ill. and Stephanie Crissie (Anthony) of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Cade McDaniel, Elizabeth McDaniel, Abel Halbrook Cooper, Noah Woodle and Carson Woodle and Mackenzie Costa; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands. Funeral service will be Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Chuck Crow officiating. Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will began at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. Pallbearers: Roger Gillihan, Dwight Lawrence, Jim Cooper, Brad Furlow, Bucksey Harmon and Steven McDaniel.
