Gary Peyton White

Gary Peyton White Sr., 61, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at his residence. Mr. White was born June 7, 1952, in Pine Bluff, the son of the late William Eugene and Gwendolyn Peyton White. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1971. He had lived in Pulaski County for 20 years before moving back to Pine Bluff. He was a Baptist by faith, an electrician and musician by trade and a member of IBEW Local 295. He was the youngest brakeman ever hired by the Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Faye Driskill White, whom he married June 21, 1991; son, Gary Peyton White, Jr. (Stephanie) of Dallas, Texas; brother, William Eugene "Bill" White Jr. granddaughter, Ariel Reynolds of Dallas, Texas. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. in Sumner Cemetery near Cabot by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Terry Fortner officiating.
