Jerry Huskey born August 15, 1941 in Tuckerman, Arkansas. He passed away at home surrounded by family and friends and went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 14, 2014. He graduated from Tuckerman High School and attended Arkansas State University where he studied Journalism. He moved to Idaho in 1977. He was a manager with Consolidated Freightways and later ran his own tractor business. He is survived by his mother, Dorlas Dane Jiles of Tuckerman Arkansas, brother, Ron Huskey of Oak Forest, Illinois, four children, Barry (Tammy) Huskey of Boise Idaho, Renee (Don) Swanson of Meridian Idaho, Melody (Scott) Snider of Meridian, Idaho, and Michael Huskey of Nampa, Idaho, six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren, two ex-wives, Rosa Lea Babcock of Boise and Debra Huskey of Peoria, Arizona, and Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe, Jerry's cousin, who was more like a brother to him. Jerry is also survived by one nephew, Deron Huskey and wife Dee of Albuquerque, N.M., and one niece, Michelle Huskey Smith of Panama City, Florida, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Toy Huskey and step-father, Lee C. Jiles, both of Tuckerman, Arkansas. He was part of six living generations; KTVB, television of Boise, ran a segment on them in June 1984. He enjoyed being with his Pit Bull Rosco, classic cars, and NASCAR racing. Jerry was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Treasure Valley Full Gospel Fellowship, 3838 S. Cole Road, Boise. A visitation will be held at the church, prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow at Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Franklin Road, Meridian, Idaho.
