Odette Wortham Nelson

ODETTE WORTHAM NELSON, 88, of North Little Rock passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. Born in Rosebud, Ark., to William and Cordelia Starkey Wortham, Mrs. Nelson is preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Richard Glenn Nelson; sisters, Lorene Chandler and Maxine Moffett; brothers, Leon, Sherman, Darrel Calvin, Glenn, and O.B. Wortham. Odette was a devoted wife of 40 years and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and shopping especially with her daughters. Odette is survived by two daughters, Jannie Maxwell (Tom) of North Little Rock and Suzan Skierski (Kenneth) of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; grandchildren, Kyle (Shelby) and Kirk Skierski and Thomas and Tiffany Maxwell; two sisters, Wanda Rose of Searcy and Betty Jackson of Quitman; and two brothers, H.A. Wortham of Searcy and Bobby Wortham of Judsonia. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home with a private, family graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, Ms. Odette's daughters ask that contributions be made to Elmcroft Senior Living of Sherwood in their mother's name (9880 Brockington Rd, Sherwood).
