Mary J. Misenhimer, 96, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born July 7, 1917 in Danville, Arkansas to the late C.C. and Maude Gatlin Sharpe. Mary attended Arkansas Tech University where the institution was a two year college. She was a member of the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church at the time of her death.Mary was a school teacher, pianist, sports enthusiast, and bridge player. She is preceded in death by her husbands James Carey Morse, Sr. and Dennis Misenhimer, daughter, Mary Ann Stone; sisters Faye Pledger and Allie Maude Grace, brothers, Clayborne Sharpe and Courtney Sharpe. Mary is survived by her son, Dr. Jim Morse, of Little Rock, grandchildren; Julie (Jeff) Cloe, of Conway, Arkansas, Van (Dana) Stone, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Clay (Melissa) Stone, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Wes Stone, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Hannah (John) Carrithers, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Sarah (Jason) McClure, of Benton, great grandchildren; Elizabeth, Mitchell, Griffin, Calvin, Luke, Liam, Aiden and Finn. The family is very grateful to CNA's Lorraine Starks and Renee Cox of Valley Ranch for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church Chapel 4823 Woodlawn Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas.
