James D. Mosley, 67, of Benton passed away Wednesday, February 26th. He was born February 15, 1947, to Thomas and Dorothy Mosley, in Camden, Arkansas. Jim grew up in Kansas City, graduating from Ruskin High School in 1965 and Central Missouri State in 1969. Jim worked as an Accountant for Graybar Electric for 30 years, eventually settling in Texas. He became a volunteer firefighter and President of the Klein Volunteer Fire Department, serving alongside his second wife and the love of his life, Jean Stevens. They married on May 23, 1986. In 2002, he and Jean retired to Benton, Arkansas, where he worked for the state Health Department for 11 years, retiring a second time last July. Jim was a loving husband and father, never letting a moment pass without telling his family how much he loved them. He constantly modeled what it means to be a man of integrity. He was passionate about history, the outdoors, politics, and fishing. He will be remembered for his story telling, and like a true fisherman, the stories were always longer and better than the actual events. He always managed to make people laugh. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Jean of Benton, Arkansas; his mother, Dorothy and brother, Tom, of Kansas City; son, Kale and his wife Rebecca of Derby, Kansas; son, Kurt and his wife Laura of Holly Springs, North Carolina; daughter Kelly Hulen and her husband Brian of Lewisville, Texas; and step-son, Chris Stevens and his wife, Jessica, of Castle Rock, Colorado; five grandsons; five granddaughters; four nephews; and three nieces. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1st at First Southern Baptist Church of Bryant, Arkansas, at 2 p.m. On line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
