Karen Elizabeth Geal, 53, of Jacksonville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Karen was born January 19, 1960 in Pamona, Calif. to the late John and Caroline (McDonald) Loyd. Karen was a devout Catholic who loved children and animals.
She was a devoted wife for 33 years to Robert "Bob" Geal, Sr. of Jacksonville and a loving mother to Angela Geal of Judsonia, Wendy Nierstheimer (Curtis) of Alexander, and Robert Geal Jr. (Laura) of Sherwood. She is also survived by grandchildren Kingston Cunningham, Emily Smith, Audrey Mae Smith, and Autumn Turney and siblings Jean, Darlene, Irene, Joyce, and David.
Catholic Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Visitation with the family will be from 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
