Lillie Karen Kimbrough

Lillie Karen Kimbrough fondly known as "Kay" of Menifee, Ark. made her transition to heaven on Jan. 2, 2014 at the age of 68. She was born January 28, 1945 in Newport, Ark. to Joseph and JoAnn Wilson who preceded her in death. Kay was a long time employee of the Centers for Youth and Families, where she worked tirelessly to better the lives of children. She was a graduate of Newport's Branch High School Class of 1962, Philander Smith College, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a sister of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She leaves behind to continue her legacy, her husband of 49 years, Herbert L. Kimbrough Sr.; and children, Herbert L. Kimbrough Jr. (Lameice), Leslea K. Kimbrough, Lisa R. Kimbrough, Demetria R. Kimbrough, and Christian W. Kimbrough; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; along with a multitude of loving family and friends. Family hour will be Friday, Jan. 10 from 6-7 p.m. and homegoing service will be Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery on 12th Street.
