Frank Joseph "Sonny" Faryewicz, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was a 1942 graduate of Catholic High School. He was a highly decorated Army Veteran serving in Normandy and Central Europe from 1943 thru 1945. He was a machinist for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 17 years. He joined the family business, Fischer Honey Company, working for 32 years with 20 years as President and CEO. He was also a charter member of St. Patrick's Men Club, Knights of Columbus, a 59 year member of Denton Deer Camp, Big Rock AARP 1516, National Honey Packers and Dealers Association and American Beekeeping Association. Sonny was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Sophia and Frank Faryewicz and brother, John. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lena Margaret Faryewicz; sister, Marie Renshaw (Courtney); sister-in-law, Delores Faryewicz; four daughters, Ann Fallon (Paul), Jane Eason (Fred), Ellen Callaway (Joe), Marijo Valentine; 10 grandchildren, Michael Fallon (Amanda), Jonathan Fallon (Sarah), Dr. Amy Phillips (Christopher), Timothy Fallon (Sasha), James Eason (Bridgette) Robert Eason (Brandy), Angela Mask (Chris), Matthew Callaway (Christi), Andrew Valentine and Kimberly Valentine; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 West 19th St. North Little Rock, Ark. 72114 or Baptist Health NLR Rehab Therapy Department, 3333 Springhill Dr. North Little Rock, Ark. 72117. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a Rosary service at 7 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home.
