Odelle Owens Johnson

Odelle Owens Johnson, age 92, of Crossett, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born on July 5, 1921 in Crossett, Ark., to her parents, Chester A. and Richie Mae Barnett Owens. Mrs. Johnson was the founder and a teacher for the Carousel School for many years and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arthur Richard Owens and her husband of 58 years, Frank H. Johnson. Survivors include a son, Owen Johnson, a daughter, Susan Craven (Ken); a brother, Herman Owens (Pat), all of Crossett, Ark.; three grandchildren, Todd Craven (Katie) of Cabot, Ark., Christi Price (Kurt) of Crossett, Ark., and Jillian Arbogast (Rob) of Conway, Ark.; two great granddaughters, Lucy Craven and Caroline Price. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. (www.jonesservice.com).
