Jessie M. Cheney

Jessie M. Cheney, 88 of Conway, died January 14, 2014. Mrs. Cheney was a Registered Nurse serving veteran's for over 30 years with the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Little Rock. She was a lifelong Methodist and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Lockhart Rapp; husband, Dwight Leroy Cheney; one sister, two brothers and by her son Brian's life partner, Jef Duncan. She was the beloved mother to her son, Brian Cheney of Conway; two daughters, Margaret Beth Brady (Dickie) of Conway; Kathryn Cheney-Egan (John) of Chicago, Ill. She was the beloved grandmother to her four grandchildren, Samantha Brady; Mary Brady; Christi Brady; Rachel Cheney-Egan. Also left to cherish her memories are one sister, Esther Johnson of Dallas, Texas; and one brother, Lester Rapp of Baton Rouge, La. Graveside services will be private.
