Mary Alice Morris

Mary Alice Busby (Poe) Morris, age 86 of Benton, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2014 at Baptist Hospital, Little Rock. She was born on March 11, 1927, in Beach Grove, Ark. She was the daughter of Melvin and Hettie Busby. Mary was retired, after being a self-employed beautician for forty years. She was a member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ for 28 years and recently joined Highway Church of Christ, Benton, AR, and enjoyed cruising, music, quilting, and board games. She is preceded in death by her parents, her children's father, Billie Bond Poe, a brother, Charles Busby and a sister, Roxie Arnold. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Dewey Morris of Benton, her children, Billie Wayne Poe of Marianna, Glenda (Bill) Lesher of North Little Rock, Mary Joyce (Robert) Gaut of Clinton, Pamela (John) Cox of Benton, Karen Poe of Mabelvale, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grand children, two sisters, Hester Ann Duffin of Duran, Mich., Margie Ruth Akins of Paragould, and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Geyer Springs Church of Christ in Little Rock, Ark. An additional service will be held at Heath Funeral Home, Paragould, Ark. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow Saturday at Hornersville Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo. Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Heath Funeral Home, 321 W. Garland, Paragould, Ark.
