Michael Thomas LaFort, 91, Jacksonville, born August 22, 1922, passed away June 30, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World War II; and also a member of St. Jude. He was married to his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred LaFort, who followed him in death on July 2, 2014.
He is preceded in death by daughter, Paulette LaFort; son, Thomas LaFort; six brothers; five sisters. He is survived by his children, Lorraine (Frank) Hall of Indianapolis, Ind., Michael (Beverly) LaFort of Bossier City, La., and Robert (Teresa) LaFort of Jacksonville, Ark.; grandchildren, Jim Hall of Encinitas, Calif., Katherine Reed of Indianiapolis, Ind., Renee LaFort of Stoughton, Mas., Michelle LaFort of Jacksonville, Ark., Chris McPheeters of Bryant, Ark., Jeff Taylor of Princeton, La., Timothy Stone of Sacramento, Calif.; nine great-grandchildren; and twin brother, Timothy James Leonard of Waltham, Mass.
