James W. "Jimmy" Rouse Jr.

REVEREND JAMES W. "JIMMY" ROUSE JR., 64, of Little Rock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. He was born to the late James and Clementine Rouse in Little Rock, Ark. on Nov. 16, 1949. When he was 17, he married his childhood sweetheart, Nettie Jordan, and they started their lives together in Los Angeles, Calif., where they stayed for 30 years and raised their three children. After returning to Arkansas in 1995, Rev. Rouse became an entrepreneur and was the owner of True Vine Cleaners. He also received his calling into the ministry. Upon his death, Rev. Rouse was the proud Pastor of Reed Memorial CME Church in Little Rock, Ark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, LaNea Rouse; and his brother, Reverend Rick Rouse. He is survived by his wife, Nettie Rouse; children, Lawrence and Rev. LaVonda Rouse both of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren, Aaron, Autumn, and Aliyah Rouse and Carl Watson; sisters, Sandra Rouse and Linda Miller of Las Cruces, N.M. and Donna Rashad of Little Rock; sisters-in-law, Queen Ester Hampton of Little Rock and Janet Rouse of Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services have been entrusted to Premier Funeral Home at 1518 South Battery Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at Reed Memorial CME Church 3101 S. Izard St., Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
