Verneal Colleen Allison

Verneal Colleen Allison, 86, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away July 15, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark. She was born in Havana, Arkansas on November 29, 1927 to the late Robert Ashley Baker and Jenny Cornelia Taylor Baker. Verneal worked at Rohwer-Kelso Country Store and Newcomers Greeting Service for many years. She also worked at West Brothers Department Store and co-owned and managed Randy Allison Clothing Store. Verneal was a member of McGehee Church of Christ. Other than her parents and brother, Raymond Baker; she was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Allison. Survivors include her sons, Randy Allison and wife, Beth of Little Rock and Keith Allison and wife Jennifer of Pea Ridge; daughters, Karen Roberts and husband, Pat of McGehee and Annette Posey and husband, Charles of McGehee. She also leaves brothers, Robert Baker and Alfred Baker of Tillar; Lyndell Baker of Monticello and sisters, Verdell McDonald of Edmond, OK and LaVerne Chance of Enola, Ark. She was also dearly loved by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at McGehee Church of Christ in McGehee, Ark. with Bro. Jared Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar, Ark.
