John Cook

JOHN COOK of Little Rock, Ark. passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the age of 82. John was born to Jerrold and Unice Cook on Jan. 27, 1932 in Odessa, Mo. He graduated from Oregon State College with a Bachelor of Science civil-engineering degree in 1955. John was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two sisters; two brothers; and son, Jerrold. John is survived by his wife, Mona; son, Bruce; daughter, Connie; daughter-in-law, Diana; son-in-law, Gene; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John was a retired civil engineer with the city of Corona, Ca. He also worked many years in Ontario and Upland Ca. He was known for his dedication and perfection. John's passion was working in the yard and designing most anything. He found great pleasure in helping others. He loved all animals. He was a natural born teacher and enriched the lives of those who knew him well. He will truly and deeply be missed by all. Memorial service will be Tuesday June 17, 2014, held at Griffin Leggett-Forest Hills funeral home located at 10200 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Ark. Visitation 6-7 p.m. will include light hors d'oeuvres. Celebration of life will be at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to Hospice Home Care 2200 South Bowman Rd., Little Rock, Ark. 72211, in memory of John Cook.
