Diana Mae Watts

Diana Mae Watts, 76, of Hurst, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 12. She was born on Sept. 10, 1937 in Loma Linda, Calif. to the late John and Frances Bentley Schlax. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Watts; son, Ralph Watts Jr.; daughter, Connie Walker; and brother, Sylvas Schlax. Diana was a wonderful mother who loved her family. She loved to decorate cakes, make homemade candy, and was a great seamstress. She loved winter, especially the snow and Christmas, but she also enjoyed swimming in summer. She is survived by her children, Cyndie Simmons of Charles Town, W. Va., Cathy Doolin of Mansfield, Texas, Carrie Keel of Lewisville, Texas, Carol McArthur of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Robin Beard of Hendersonville, Tenn.; sister, Carolyn Engberth; and brother, Dean Schlax, both of California; as well as 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 700 N. Second, Cabot, Ark. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
