Howard Hiblong Jr.

Howard Hiblong, Jr., 82, of Sardis, Ark. passed away May 2, 2014. He was born on Feb. 10, 1932 in Benton, Ark. to the late Howard and Lexie Hiblong. Howard was employed as a printing press operator. He was a member of Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Faye Laverne Hiblong of Sardis, Ark.; daughter, Barbara Alexander and husband Gary of Sardis; son, David Hiblong and wife Vickie of East End; daughter, Lisa Smith and husband Jerry of Sardis; seven grandchildren, Paige Brown, Jeff Alexander, Paul Hiblong, Mark Hiblong, Crissy Nichols, Ross Smith, and Bryce Smith; great-grandchildren, Josh Brown, Ethan Nichols, and Jenna Alexander; brother, Donnie Hiblong of Carlisle, Ark.; two sisters, Helen Golleher of Carlisle, Ark. and Eloise Pledger of North Little Rock, Ark.; plus many other family members and friends who loved Howard and will miss him always. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters. Special thanks to Saline Memorial Hospice for providing outstanding care. Visitation will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6–8 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Ark. 72015. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. David Hiblong, Rev. Bill Counts, Rev. Bob Counts, and Rev. Loy Counts.
