Sammy Marshal Allen

Sammy Marshal Allen, 76, of DeWitt, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 11:50 a.m. He was born to the late Elmer and Arvilla Allen, April 4, 1938, in Stuttgart, Ark. Sammy graduated from Dewitt High School in 1956. He received a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Arkansas Tech University and served in the U.S. Army. Sammy worked many years as plant manager for Dollar General Corporation in Dumas, Ark. and later for Harold Ives Trucking in Stuttgart, Ark. Sammy is survived by his wife Dene Allen, his sister Mary Vickers of Dumas, AR and three children: Samantha Allen of Cabot, Ark., Carmen Acosta of Holland, Mich. and Shelley Smith of Geismar, Ls. He also is survived by five grandchildren. Per his wishes there will be no memorial service held.
