Adell Terry-Norwood

Adell Terry-Norwood, 67, of Little Rock, departed this earthly life Sunday, May 3, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center-LR. She graduated in 1967 from then Horace Mann High School and then from Philander Smith College. She was a retired teacher with the Little Rock Public Schools. Left with cherished memories are her sons, Donny Dowdy (Janet) and Terry Norwood; daughter, Lisa Norwood; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings Alvin Terry Jr., Benita Terry-Jones, and Mildred "Millie" Terry-Hill (Anthony). Obsequies for Ms. Norwood will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Union A.M.E. Church, 1825 Pulaski. Services entrusted to Walton GateWay Funeral Chapel, "Your Entrance to Eternity", 2405 South Gaines Street. Visitation is Friday, May 9, from 12-6 p.m. followed by family hour from 6-7 p.m., both at the funeral home, 376-7188.
