Archie J. Walker Jr.

Archie J. Walker Jr., age 81, of Wilmot, Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home. He was born August 30, 1932 in Wilmot, Arkansas, the son of the late Archie Walker Sr. and Sally Howie. He was a machinist for Nickson's Machine shop and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Montrose. Survivors are his wife, Barbara Walker of Wilmot; a son, Steven Walker and wife, Tammy, of Santa Maria, California; a daughter, Karen Walker and husband, Tom Traylor of phoenix, Arizona; four step-children, James Metcalf, John Metcalf, LaRhonda Johnson, and Quanisha Wooden; one sister, Clara Rains, of Hacienda Heights, California, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and special friends, Gladys Williams and Cleveland Parker. Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lloyd Townsend officiating. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Montrose.
