Lee Ernest Evans Jr., 86, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
He was born May 29, 1927 in El Dorado and lived in Jonesboro for 44 years. Mr. Evans was a member of the Winfield Methodist Church in Little Rock and attended First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. He retired from General Electric as a purchasing agent and a past member of the Jonesboro Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Lee Evans of Little Rock and Rick Lee Evans of Searcy; two grandchildren, Jarrod Evans and Rachel Matuschek and husband Frank all of Jonesboro; a great-grandson, Owyn Matuschek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Christine Evans.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A service to celebrate his life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
