SARAH CATHERINE BEENE CLOUETTE, 91, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born October 2, 1922, in Wooster, Arkansas to James A. and Elizabeth Catherine Beene. She was married to William Paul Clouette in 1937 until his death in 1990. She was a homemaker for many yearsand later worked for the LRSD in food services at LR Central High for about 10 years and Sterling Department Store for over 50 years. She has been a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church since 1946 where she worked in the children's department, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter Brenda Sue Rowe, and all of her siblings: Clinton Beene, William Beene, Lewis Beene, Mary Burroughs, Ola Fay Woodworth, Ora Mae Kirby, and Hattie Davis. Survivors include daughter, Nina Rowe (Jimmy), son, Jim Paul Clouette, five grandchildren, Michele Pickett (Phil), Stacy Crawford (Greg), Kyle Clouette (Melisa), Joshua Clouette, and Jamie Levinsky (Andy), eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express gratitude to AR Hospice and Woodland Hills Healthcare for many years of compassionate care. Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. and the funeral at 11 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Carroll Koon and Bob Slagley officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
