Sandra L. Phillips

Sandra Phillips of Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life to dwell with the Lord on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at the age of 73. She was born on November 17th, 1940 to Theodore John (Buddy) Oehrlie Sr., and Lois (Beadle) Oehrlie in Little Rock. Sandra was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Martin Phillips Jr., and brother, T.J. Oehrlie, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Alley (Tim) and Judy Garland; her son, Martin Phillips III and daughter, Catherine Phillips; and two grandchildren, Leah Phillips and Amberlee Phillips. Sandra worked for many years as an Insurance Underwriter. Family and friends referred to her has the "hardest working woman in town", because while working full-time she also cared for and raised her children on her own. This is a testament to her love, devotion and dedication to family, as well as her strong will, courage and independence. When Sandra did have some spare time, she was passionate devotee of crocheting and loved playing hearts and rummy. Services for Sandra will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander. A visitation will commence at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7th, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Sandra's honor to the Diabetes Association.
