Virginia Watson

Virginia Watson, 78, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away on October 1 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ginny was born in Pierce, Nebraska to Catherine and Harvey Webb on July 24,1936 She went to high school at Pierce High School and graduated in 1954. She went on to earn a nursing degree from Creighton University and a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University of Chicago. She worked as a nurse for her entire career. After many years working in hospitals, she then worked as the nurse for Pierce Public Schools. For the final portion of her career, Ginny ran various home health care groups, first in Nebraska, then in Arkansas. Ginny spent her years enjoying activities with her friends. Over the years, she could be found at golfing, playing bridge, helping out at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Supporting her children in their education and extracurricular activities was one of the driving forces of her life. Another was the insistence on professionalism in the nursing field that she loved, both in her own work and that of those who worked with her. Ginny is survived by her husband, Charles Watson of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; her daughter, Megan Davenport and husband Richard, her son, Michael Watson and wife Emily, her daughter, Erin Watson, her son, Patrick and his son George; and her sisters Madeline Nave, Kathleen Prince, and Mary Hyslop.
