WESLEY HUGH MOREHART, 77, of North Little Rock passed away October 10, 2014. He was born in Mabelvale September 15, 1937, to the late Edward and Arthie Morehart. He was a graduate of Mabelvale High School, and attended Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. Wesley is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jacque; daughter Beth Shull (Mike), and son Clay (Cherie); and grandchildren Michael (Darcie), Hannah, and Emily Shull, and Shawna and Joshua Morehart. He is survived by three brothers, Clifton (Hazel) and Eugene, Mabelvale, and Edwin, North Little Rock; three sisters, Virgie Sanders, Bedford, Texas, Velma Carolyn Marsh (Joe) Fairview, Texas, and Benda Shere (Roy) , Mabelvale. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Schafer (Wayne) Fairfax, Va., Willie Mae Hollingsworth, Las Vegas, Nev.; and three brothers, Lester, Walnut Creek, Calif, Herbert, Hot Springs, and Calvin, North Little Rock. Wesley earned a Good Conduct Medal from the US Army, where he served for three years, spending one year in Korea helping rebuild a communications system. He worked for Western Electric for nearly 20 years before becoming a full-time pastor in the central Arkansas area until 1982, and then in Midland, Texas. After returning to Arkansas in 1987, Wesley worked for Little Rock Dodge, Tipton and Hurst, and the Arkansas Department of Correction before retiring. Wesley loved spending time with family and telling stories of his life experiences. His greatest passion was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He especially enjoyed mission trips to Europe. Graveside service will be 12 noon, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
