Margaret Noel McAlister

Margaret Noel McAlister, 92, of Dover, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Arkansas River Valley Hospice in Russellville. The daughter of Edward and Bertha Wells Noel, she was born February 2, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas. She was a very faithful member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Margaret enjoyed being with her family and friends, who say, she was a wonderful cook and excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed reading, fishing and camping with husband, Ed. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Garvis McAlister; her parents; two brothers, Brooks Noel, and Edwards Noel Jr. Left to cherish her memory are, two sons, Robert McAlister (Martha) of Hot Springs, Dan McAlister (Bobsie) of Dover; her daughter Diane McAlister Barclay of Beebe; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Jerry Turner will officiate. Burial will be at Pollard Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
