Helen Maxine Ward Petroff, age 91, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born September 5, 1923, in Carlisle, Arkansas, a daughter of Frank H. Ward and Blanche Ford Ward. She was the widow of Frank J. Petroff. She was a member of retired Teachers Association, worked for South Conway County Schools for 26 years and retired as their bookkeeper. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Morrilton, United Methodist Women's Club, President of G.F.W.C., and Pathfinders. She did volunteer work for St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary, Conway County Care Center, and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her children, Larry Petroff (Kay) of Athens, Georgia, Leonard Petroff of Cleveland, Arkansas, David Petroff (Pam) of Morrilton, Daniel Petroff of Little Rock, and Thomas Petroff of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, Heather (David) Drilling, Mandy (Steve) Eoff, Mary (Steve) Havick, Julia (Luis) Presuel, Matt Petroff, Amy Mathers, T.C. Petroff, and Taylor Petroff; great-grandchildren; Ben and Jack Drilling, Karleigh and Lilly Eoff, Cash and Harper Havick, Alex, Andy and Kathleen Presuel, and Madi and Haylen Swank. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Ward, Jr. and a sister, Juanita Owens. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17th, at the Harris Chapel with Rev. Todd-Paul Taulbee officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
